Religious Education:

During our RE lessons this term we will be learning about:

  • Easter

  • Pentecost

  • Sharing Jesus’ life

  • Following Jesus today

English:

In our English lessons this term we will be learning about:

  • Letter Writing
  • Descriptive writing 
  • Recounts
  • Non-chronological reports
  • Poetry
  • Writing stories set in imaginary settings.
  • Stories and plays that use the language of fairy tales.
  • Writing stories that mimic significant authors.

Maths:

In our Maths lessons this term we will be learning about:

  • Place Value

  • Addition and Subtraction

  • Multiplication and Division 

  • Measure - time. length/height, mass/weight, capacity/volume

  • Fractions

Science:

In our Science lessons this term we will be learning about:

  • Everyday materials
  • Floating and sinking

Topic:

Our topic for the Summer Term is 'Farm to Fork.' Throughout this topic we will be learning:

  • Investigate places – Name and locate the world’s continents and oceans.

  • To explore the lives of significant individuals.

  • Understand the concept of a Monarchy,

  • Compare the lives of Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II.

  • The Commonwealth and British Empire

  • To listen to live and recorded music.

  • To explore music from around the world.

  • To explore a range of famous artists.

  • To describe the differences and similarities between various practices and disciplines.

  • To build structures, exploring how they can be made stronger, stiffer and more stable.

  • To explore and evaluate a range of existing products.

  • To recognise common uses of technology around the school and the home.

  • To use technology safely and respectfully
