Learning in Action

Take a look at mathematics in action across.

From EYFS to Year 6, our pupils develop confidence, curiosity and a love of mathematics through engaging, practical and purposeful learning experiences. Using a mastery approach, children explore mathematical concepts with concrete resources, pictorial representations and abstract methods, while developing fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Our photographs showcase pupils collaborating, discussing their mathematical thinking, using manipulatives, applying their learning in real-life contexts and demonstrating resilience when tackling challenges. They capture the enthusiasm, creativity and enjoyment that are at the heart of mathematics at St Gregory's, celebrating our pupils as confident and successful mathematicians.

Our new academic year Maths Learning in Action gallery will be available soon... Coming September 2026!

We look forward to sharing photographs of our pupils from EYFS to Year 6 engaging in exciting mathematical learning throughout the new academic year.
